Canada Invests in Advanced Electrical Manufacturing

The federal government announced on 16 October a $30 million contribution toward Hitachi Energy Canada’s $478.8 million project to establish Canada’s first electrical-grade pressboard manufacturing facility in London, Ontario. The project is intended to strengthen domestic manufacturing capacity and support the electricity infrastructure supply chain. Industrial businesses may need production planning, inventory management, procurement analytics and logistics optimisation as manufacturing capacity expands. The verified project value is $478.8 million; a separate supply-chain consulting contract price was not disclosed.
