Canada Introduces C$260 Million Workforce-Readiness Fund

On 26 October, the federal government announced C$260 million over four years to help connect Indigenous workers with jobs linked to major projects. The initiative places emphasis on workforce readiness, training and access to employment opportunities, although individual employer recruitment budgets were not disclosed. Employers, training organisations and workforce agencies can explore skills-gap analysis, recruitment reporting and workforce-demand forecasting.
